Your session will begin with a thorough health intake. After the intake you will be given a pressure scale (not a pain scale) to use in order to give you control over the pressure used in your session.
2. Hot Oil Brushing
Preheated coconut* oil is brushed onto the pre-draped body. Essential oils may be added to the coconut oil to enhance your experience. *Other oils available on request
3. Seated Warm-up
Once the hot oil brushing is completed the seated warm up will begin. Your Ashi therapist will be seated on a stool at the head of the table and start working the top of the shoulders, back of the neck and upper back with light to moderate pressure.
4. Slow deep strokes
After the seated warm-up is complete the standing techniques will slowly be given. Here you will decide just how much pressure you want. You will have the control to determine what areas are more productive for you. Be sure to check in with your Ashi therapist regularly to receive the most benefit from your session. Using slow massage strokes allows for deeper pressure.
